EastEnders: Sean Slater says goodbye to his mum Jean
One of EastEnders’ biggest heartthrobs from the 2000s looks completely unrecognisable nowadays.
Many viewers may remember Robert Kazinsky’s time on the BBC soap, where he played Sean Slater.
The brother to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and son to Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), Sean made his first appearance in 2006 and quickly became a favourite amongst viewers.
It may have been several years since Robert’s character last appeared on Albert Square, but he has given fans a glimpse into his life on social media.
The former EastEnders star took to Instagram to share some snaps and a short video as he prepares to undergo a fitness transformation.

In the photographs, Robert is seen from a variety of angles in workout gear and a bare chest alongside a shaved head. The accompanying caption explained that this post showed his “starting point” on a new fitness journey.
He said: “Here is day one, my starting off point. I weigh 220lbs, I’m at 19.7% body fat.” (sic)
The former EastEnders star then remarked: “I turn 40 in a few months and one thing I’ve learned is that it’s getting harder and harder every single day to train and recover, I can’t do things like I did in my 20s, so what’s the plan?”
He also shared that he has “a great job coming up,” which should resume now that the ongoing SAG AFTRA strikes have come to an end.

Robert added: “I’ve decided to get into superhero shape, without drugs, without PEDs, without help, just a 40-year-old fat b*****d making do with what I have still going for me.” (sic)
In a follow-up video, he shared that he was “fed up of fake fitness people pushing fake miracle solutions because they get a kickback from whomever,” and that it had been a “tricky few months” since he “started trying to get in shape.”
Despite returning to EastEnders a handful of times over the years, Robert has been pursuing his acting career in Hollywood since he first left the BBC soap.
He appeared in HBO’s True Blood in 2013, where he was often shown shirtless. Viewers may also have spotted the actor in blockbuster movies such as Warcraft, Hot Pursuit, Pacific Rim, Captain Marvel and Netflix’s The Gray Man.
Robert has not yet announced what the upcoming project is that he is working on but it looks as though fans will be able to follow along on his fitness journey on social media.
EastEnders airs Monday – Thursday on BBC One from 7:30pm.
