Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be swinging back on screen very soon.
In fact, the first trailer for “Spider-Man: Far From Home” will debut this week: Saturday, December 8. According to Collider, it will screen at the Sony Panel at Comic-Con Experience in San Paulo, Brazil before being released online.
The trailer may provide some tantalizing clues about the state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe post-“Avengers 4.” As we all know, “Infinity War” rendered many of the heroes into dust — including Peter Parker.
Obviously, at least some of them will return somehow, including Spidey, since “Far From Home” takes place after “Avengers 4” and takes Peter to Europe for summer vacation.
Returning for the sequel are cast members Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, and Jacob Batalon. Jake Gyllenhaal is joining the cast as the villain Mysterio. Samuel L. Jackson‘s Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders‘ Maria Hill (both of whom also died in “Infinity War”) are also confirmed to appear.
“Spider-Man: Far From Home” is slated to open in theaters July 5, 2019.
