Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Thursday’s (September 28) episode that is now available to stream on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on Friday September 29 at 7pm.
Sam Chen-Williams (Matthew McGivern) has staged a return to Hollyoaks, following the death of Rayne Royce (Jemma Donovan).
The former policeman, as viewers know, absconded a number of weeks ago after he was set up by controlling Rayne, who faked text messages from his phone to Zoe Anderson (Garcia Brown).
The scandal came after Sam’s obsession with Zoe, who he’d been in a relationship with, and he’d previously exhibited some disturbing behaviour when their romance came to an end.
He eventually acknowledged that he was at fault, apologising profusely over what he did and later accompanied Zoe to her termination appointment in a bid to make amends, with the former lovers managing to see a future as friends.
Rayne, however, scuppered their friendship when she texted controlling messages from Sam’s device to Zoe, which led to everyone believing that he was obsessed with his ex once again, prompting him to leave the village.
Hollyoaks is on the move! Here’s how to watch
Hollyoaks has a brand new schedule to better reflect viewing habits of TV audiences today.
The show will no longer air on Channel 4. Instead, viewers can get their daily fix on the station’s online platform, formerly known as 4OD and All4, weeknights at 7:30pm on Channel 4 streaming.
If streaming isn’t your thing or maybe you simply prefer to watch on TV then you can catch the show weeknights at 7pm on E4.
But with Rayne having been murdered by one of her many enemies, all of her secrets have started to spill out, with Lizzie (Lily Best) finding out on Thursday that Sam was actually set up by the social media influencer, leaving her feeling awful.
Dave (Dominic Power), meanwhile, was notified by Lizzie of Sam’s innocence, though it soon came to light that he’d actually been in touch with his son, with the pair meeting at the folly in secret to discuss their next move.
‘We can start by telling them the truth!’, said suspicious Sam, confirming that he and Dave are hiding a big secret.
Did they perhaps have something to do with Rayne’s murder?
They might not have been at the party, but Sam definitely had an axe to grind with the influencer given what she did to him, so could he perhaps have lashed out and taken revenge?
Or is it something else that he and Dave are hiding?
