Huge reality show is returning to screens – and it's just weeks away, confirms BBC's Morning Live | The Sun

BBC Morning Live has confirmed a huge reality show is returning to screens – and it's just weeks away.

Hosts Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones spoke to Amanda Lovett, who was a contestant on the first series of The Traitors, on Tuesday's show.

The first season of The Traitors was a huge hit for the BBC when it aired in November 2022.

Fans are desperate for the second series, and during their chat with Amanda, Helen and Gethin revealed it will air in January, 2024.

They said: "We have got a bit of a treat for you now, one of the hottest shows on television, The Traitors, is returning to our screens in January."

Before series two has even aired, BBC bosses are looking for applicants for a third season, and the Morning Live stars added: "The team behind the murderous, backstabbing reality show are looking for their next group of contestants."

Amanda said: "I can't wait to see the new series, hopefully, they've changed it up a bit, some twists and turns, I don't know, but I really can't wait to see it and who is wearing the cloaks and how many of them there will be."

At the time of the announcement, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, Kalpna Patel-Knight said: "The massive unscripted hit The Traitors will be back for a third series.

"Expect to see more psychological gameplay, exciting challenges, and of course Claudia at the helm.

"It will be a thrilling ride for both avid fans and newcomers to the series for sure. The BBC will always remain faithful to The Traitors."
