I was on Hell's Kitchen – I got so drunk after a bad snub I could barely sit | The Sun

HELL'S Kitchen is best known across the world for its US edition which started off in 2005 and is still going today.

However ITV originally aired the UK instalment which was the first edition of the show in 2004.

Gordon Ramsey was the original Head Chef of the programme before Gary Rhodes and Jean-Christophe Novellli were chosen to lead series three.

Only a year later Marco Pierre-White took over the role whilst Angus Deayton served as the host.

And one contributor took to the social media platform Reddit to reminisce about his time on the show.

A discussion titled, 'Has anybody been in the audience for a TV show, and if so have you got any good anecdotes?,' received some very interesting responses.

One user named Keenadan retold the story about how he was drunk when he came face to face with the prominent food personalities on Hell's Kitchen.

"Me and my girlfriend at the time managed to get a table for Hells Kitchen (the ITV show where celebs cook for diners in a fake restaurant, not the Gordon Ramsey show) when it was hosted by Angus Deyton, and Marco Pierre White was head chef," he recalled.

"We obviously weren't high up on the hierarchy to be served any food, bar the odd bread roll chucked our way every now and then by stressed waiting staff.

"But we were given copious amounts of free wine.

He added: "I was very hungry."

And users took to the platform to express their excitement over the behind-the-scenes titbit.
