I’m A Celeb fans slam show as ‘mean’ after ‘disappointing’ moment in camp | The Sun

I'M A CELEBRITY viewers have branded the ITV show "mean" after campmates received a disappointing reward for their Monday night challenge.

In a switch-up to the beloved 'Dingo Dollar' challenge, I’m A Celebrity 2022 has launched a new format on their return to Aus called 'Deals on Wheels' – which is essentially the same thing, except Kiosk Kev has a bike now, rather than the Outback Shack.

On Monday's episode, Hollyoaks' Owen Warner and Lioness Jill Scott took on the first challenge, with hopes of winning treats for camp.

With Owen diving into a pool of water filled with letters, the pair got to work completing a crossword, which included some awkward moments where they couldn't figure out how to spell 'coq au vin' and didn't know oysters were considered 'aphrodisiacs', they finally succeeded in their mission.

However, even though the celebrities were able to get the final question right to get their sweet treats, the duo returned to camp victorious – only to find out they'd only been given five, meaning they only got half each.

Viewers were upset with the producers for not allowing them at least one a piece, and dubbed them "mean" and "stingy", demanding the stars get more in future challenges.

"The im a celeb producers were so cheap they couldn’t even give them a biscuit each?!," wrote one fan.

Another added: "What's wrong with giving 'em one each? HALF a custard cream. If i was on this I wouldn't even bother doing the challenge."

"5 biscuits?? That’s actually mean,' said a third, while a fourth added: "Half a biscuit each, I wouldn't of bothered lol"

Tonight, it's the turn of Scarlette Douglas and Chris Moyles to take on the challenge, in a game called "Don't Balls It Up".

In order to win some fruit and nut mix, the pair must match giant balls with facts on them to the corresponding faces of their fellow campmates.

With a name like that, we're sure Moyles is going to have a field day, and that's before they find out the prize all their effort are for…

Let alone the fact they are hours away from sharing the camp with Matt Hancock and Seann Walsh…

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here continues nightly at 9pm on ITV.
