Kadeena Cox has shared a rare photo of her in her wheelchair after catching Covid and admitting she'd felt "totally wiped out".

The I'm A Celebrity alum starred in the latest series of the ITV show, which took place at Gwrych Castle in North Wales for the second time due to Covid restrictions.

The 30-year-old Paralympian occasionally has to use a wheelchair as she suffers from Multiple Sclerosis – a condition that affects the brain and spinal cord.

Kadeena bravely spoke about her life with MS on the show, telling her campmates that she suffers from muscle spasms, fatigue and issues with her speech at times.

The athlete also admitted she sometimes feels "embarrassed" about using her wheelchair as she thinks that people believe that she shouldn't need to use one as she can walk.

Taking to Instagram on Monday (January 10), Kadeena shared a rare photo of her sitting in her wheelchair – after fans expressed concerns that she was being "quieter".

Kadeena looked cosy in a fluffy white fleece and brown leggings, and she smiled for the camera despite having had a "rough week".

She wrote: "a rare photo of me in my chair because today I got up and dressed for the first time in a week but it’s been a rough week"

"Thank you to those of you that noticed I was quieter and checked in. I did unfortunately test positive for covid on my day 2 test post Jamaica.

"That paired with food poisoning I got 3 weeks ago in Mexico which my stomach still hasn’t settled from. Along with my super low iron levels I couldn’t sort due to isolating. All had me totally wiped out this week"

Cyclist Kadeena went on to explain that she has "feared getting Covid" for the last two years as she has underlying health issues.

She continued: "As someone with underlying health issues, I’ve feared getting covid for the last 2 years and with my immune system already being super crappy atm, I’m just thanking God I’ve come through the other side unlike so many others"

Finishing the post, the gold medalist was feeling "grateful" for what she does have, urging her fans to "squeeze" their loved ones and tell them they love them.

She added: "Times like these you have time to think and remember to be grateful for all you have. Don’t forget to squeeze your loved ones and tell them you love them"

Speaking about using a wheelchair on I'm A Celeb, Kadeena said: "It's hard, you know? It gets harder because that's not me all the time, so i get embarrassed using my wheelchair, because I think people think 'she shouldn't be in a wheelchair, she walks fine'."

"Being in a wheelchair is not the easiest thing because you get judged and you get a lot of sympathy and I hate sympathy, so I just find it really hard."
