Im A Celeb star details moment Jamie Lynn Spears became different person

Ant and Dec issue update on Jamie Lynn Spears

Fans of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! recently learned Jamie-Lynn Spears had left the show on medical grounds. Since arriving in the Australian jungle, it was clear the 32-year-old struggled to adapt to camp life.

In the initial days, the actress was seen crying to her fellow campmates and had threatened to leave on a few occasions. However, there was a slight change in her attitude a few days in.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk on behalf of stocklytics.com, former campmate Samantha Fox gave her thoughts on Jamie Lynn ahead of her exit. She believes the reason people saw a massive change in her demeanour came after her first trial.

The 57-year-old said: “I think us Brits have been really good with Jamie Lynn Spears. At first, she was so down and her spirits were so low.

“We gave her lots of encouragement, especially little Sam [Thompson]. When she did the first challenge it really helped lift her spirits and then she felt a part of the family.”

Sam highlighted how alone Jamie Lynn would’ve felt in those initial days. Especially as the other campmates may have already known one another.

She added: “At first she probably felt a little bit left out, which I think anybody would. The Brits, I think, have been really great with her by supporting her and encouraging her.

“When she did that challenge [Climb of Cruelty], she felt a part of the family and a part of the team. The change in her is brilliant, she’s a different person.

“The team is really nice in the way they’ve supported her and kept her strong. I’m really proud of the team in the way they’ve lifted her spirits.”

Sadly, it was revealed this week that Jamie Lynn left the show on medical grounds. Viewers saw her appear at the beginning of Wednesday’s episode before the camp stated she’d left.

The actress took to Instagram to share an update with her followers as she confessed she sees her campmates as family. In a post, she wrote: “I can’t wait to share with y’all everything about this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“But I don’t even know where to start when trying to describe what an incredibly special time and place I had with some of the absolute best humans I have ever met and consider family now.”

“THANK Y’ALL for welcoming me into your living rooms night after night, and for supporting me through all the highs and lows. (sic). I’m so grateful for this show, and all of the wonderful people who are a part of it!”

In the post, Jamie Lynn shared she will be taking time to recover and spend time with her family but emphasised she’d be excited to share all about her jungle experience in the future.

Her exit comes shortly after food critic Grace Dent also left the show earlier on in the week. Despite two celebrities leaving the show, official eliminations aren’t expected to happen until next week.

However, it looks as though Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson won’t be going anywhere. According to bookmakers Coral, Sam is the favourite to win the show with odds at 11-8 to be crowned the winner.
