I’m a Celeb: Josie Gibson gets emotional about leaving her son
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here saw more tears tonight as This Morning presenter Josie Gibson took to the toilet to have a cry.
The mum-of-one thought she was sobbing privately but Danielle Harold realised and went in to comfort her enquiring as to what the matter was. “I just miss my little boy. I shouldn’t have ever left him this long,” Josie said through her tears.
However, Danielle refused to let her beat herself up like this. “100 per cent you should, you’re showing him that you’re a strong mum, strong woman. So proud of you babe I hate seeing you upset. You’re the best mum,” she reassured her.
Josie later confided her feelings of guilt to the Bush Telegraph “Just had a little wobble. You just feel very guilty. I’ll never leave him this long again, ever.”
Josie is mum to five-year-old Reggie, who she shares with her ex-partner Terry. The tot has recently touched down in Australia so he can welcome his mum when she leaves the jungle.

Viewers really felt for the daytime TV star and were particuarly touched by her friendship with Danielle and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their feelings.
@eds_afterglow gushed: “Danielle and Josie are one of the purest friendships this series, the way they support each other and build each other up, dream team #imaceleb #imacelebrity.” @AndyGibsonTV queried: “How brilliant is Danielle Harold? That was the PERFECT thing to say. #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity.”
Meanwhile, @CHEEEKYsausage chimed in: “I love Josie and Danielle’s friendship, Danielle is a rock for Josie in there, lifting her up when she’s down and reminding her how strong and amazing she is. Reggie WILL be so proud of his Mum and when you’re out, you can hug him until Christmas #ImaCeleb.”
This isn’t the first time Jodie has broken down in the jungle. Last night fans watched as she was reduced to tears while taking part in the Barbaric Barbershop Bushtucker trial. Fred Sirieix, Marvin Humes, Josie and Danielle Harold were the first campmates to take part in the two-day challenge. As part of the ordeal, each celebrity is faced with a certain critter which has been chosen by the public.
As Josie was told she’d be joined by spiders, it was clear the Big Brother winner was shaken up. When the challenge began, Josie gave it a good try however, when a spider jumped on her neck she jumped out of the trial.
“Get me out of here!” A visibly shaken Josie screamed at what she had just gone through. Seeing how upset she was, the two hosts tried to calm her down.

Dec asked: “You’re OK Jose, are you alright?”. As Josie sobbed, she told them both she was doing OK. They replied: “It’s alright love, come over here.” Through tears, she apologised as they comforted her and told her it was fine.
Once she was out, Josie was seen taking sharp breaths to try and calm herself down as she appeared on the verge of a panic attack.
“I am petrified of spiders,” she said. “I was hoping that maybe I would be able to get rid of that fear.
“But, because they were there from behind, I didn’t know what it was. I’ve got to get over this, it’s not going to harm me but you can’t help it. If you’re frightened or scared of something.”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here continues on ITV nightly at 9pm.
