After becoming the fifth star to exit I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, Danielle Harold has revealed just how touch she found living in the Australian jungle for two weeks.
The former EastEnders actress, 31, has admitted that she was 'eaten alive' by the animals found Down Under, sharing that the experience was much harder than she predicted.
"Listen, that jungle eats you alive. I've eaten by ants. The littlest thing in that jungle is the worst. I can't stress how hard it is living in the jungle," she said.
Talking to The Sun, Danielle continued: "Every year I watch this show and I feel bad now for sitting at home and laughing the whole way through it. Now I’m going to be like, 'Oh my gosh, guys. I’ve got you, you’re gonna get through it'.
"They're out to give you a munch. I think the animals ate better than us in there for sure. The mosquitoes definitely did."
She added that the weather didn't help, as this year's contestants were hit with severe rain during the first couple of weeks. At one point, the weather was so bad that many feared the camp would have to be evacuated – with Nick Pickard even revealing that they had to take shelter one evening.
The Hollyoaks star revealed that, in unaired scenes, all campmates had to take shelter in the Bush Telegraph while a storm hit, with the incident happening on the night that Jamie Lynn Spears decided to walk from the show.
"We had 12 days of rain and once for 48 hours it did not stop. That was the night Jamie Lynn went and we had to all huddle, because the only place that's protected in there from the lightning is the Bush Telegraph because it's the only place that is reinforced with steel," he shared.
"So we're all in there. And we were in there for ages. And that's when Jamie Lynn had the old like 'oh my god'."
While Danielle may have found the show difficult, she has also shared how much she loved the experience. And one fellow celeb she got particularly close with is Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson, who remains in the jungle.
Appearing on Lorraine after her exit, Danielle said of Sam: "Even though he’s the same age as me he’s just like my little brother, we were winding each other up and we had the best time. I love him so much. When I came back to the hotel all the guys were there."
