Fred tells Nigel Farage ‘you destroyed the economy’
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! campmates Nella Rose and Nigel Farage had a clash over the term cultural appropriation in the latest episode.
On Tuesday night, fans of the ITV show saw the campmates discuss how people from different countries say the word water.
As Fred Sirieix imitated the phrase using a Jamaican accent, Nigel said: “If you said that they’d call it cultural appropriation Fred, they would!”
Nella asked the former MP to elaborate on what he meant in regard to his comment on cultural appropriation.
He replied: “If a white person does a black accent, that’s considered to be a crime.”

She added: “It depends on what context, if you’re taking the p**s, then you’re taking the p**s but if you’re then you’re not.”
Former UKIP Leader Nigel quipped: “You’re in can’t win territory.”
As the social media star reiterated that it depends on the context, Nigel tried to explain his point further.
He said: “If you go to a fancy dress party and you dress as something, the press will say it’s cultural appropriation.

“If you’re dressed as a Mexican or whatever it is.”
Nella added: “Well yeah because you can’t use somebody’s culture as a costume, as a fancy dress. The Mexican outfit is traditional to them.
“That’s what’s been in their culture for decades, that’s why in America they don’t dress up as native Americans because it’s not a joke.”
In the Bush Telegraph, Nella revealed she was disappointed in Nigel’s comments as they had started to get along despite their opposing political views.
Although Nella has done a large proportion of trials in this series, it’s currently Sam Thompson who is the favourite to take home the jungle crown according to bookmakers William Hill.
The Made in Chelsea star’s odds have halved in the space of a day after ITV viewers voted him to become the first camp leader of the series.
At the start of the week, Sam’s odds stood at 11/4 and are now at 11/8 for the victory.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Continues weekdays on ITV from 9pm.
