I’m A Celeb’s Tony Bellew ‘annoyed’ by Fred Sirieix’s mistake as friction grows

Tony Bellew takes on The Misery Motel in tonight’s preview

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Tony Bellew has been left less than impressed with Fred Sirieix. It comes after the camp chef made a vital mistake when cleaning the camp.

During Thursday night’s instalment of the show, ITV viewers watched as the stars woke up for the first time without Jamie Lynn Spears. However, Fred’s mind was preoccupied as he wasn’t happy with the cleanliness standards.

Deciding to have a quick clean, Fred was so busy clearing away the mess that he accidentally threw a stock cube into the fire. Although by the time he realised the error it was too late.

He commented: “Oh f***. I think it’s a stock cube!”. Nick Pickard gasped as he replied: “Oh, Fred.”

As Fred announced his mishap to the camp, people were clearly upset after Marvin Humes, Tony and Sam Thompson won the stock cubes to add a bit of flavour to the plain rice. Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Fred said: “Everything was so dirty!

“I started to clean it again and unfortunately I threw the stock cube on the fire. Oh well, Ronaldo can miss a penalty, I can throw a stock cube on the fire.”

However, there was one campmate in particular who was seething over Fred accidentally getting rid of the stock cube. At the time, Tony asked Fred: “You’re really not joking? That’s a killer. I don’t eat the rice on its own. Oh my god.”

Later on in the Bush Telegraph, the former boxer commented on the situation. Although he’s kept his cool during his time in camp, the confessed the mistake didn’t sit well with him.

He revealed: “That’s probably the first time it’s boiled up a bit inside of me. That really annoyed me.”

However, it isn’t just Tony who has been left annoyed as Fred aired his frustrations about the cleanliness in camp. Touching on the washing up, which falls to Nella Rose and Josie Gibson, he told the group standards have to remain a 10/10.

As the stars approach their second week in the Australian jungle, it looks as though friction is starting to build. According to former campmate Samantha Fox, who appeared in the show back in 2009, this is the time tensions start to occur.

Speaking to the Daily Express on behalf of stocklytics.com, the singer said: “I think the cracks will show more next week when people become more hungry. When you’re really hungry you get really tired.

“Then you get a little bit niggly! There will be a few cracks starting to show. In past jungles that I’ve watched and when I was in there, it was like the second week that the cracks started to show!”

Although the camp has been in the Australian jungle for nearly two weeks, fans are yet to see any major confrontations. However, there have been a few heated moments with former MP Nigel Farage.

Speaking about Brexit, Fred didn’t hold back on his feelings as he commented his campaign had destroyed the economy. More recently, Nigel Farage found himself butting heads with Nella Rose over comments on cultural appropriation.

Despite the few clashes, bookmaker Coral has trimmed Nigel’s chances of winning the show to 10-1 from 14-1, after seeing interest in the politician/broadcaster. Although Sam Thompson continues to be the favourite with odds at 11-8 to win.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Continues weekdays on ITV from 9pm.
