Inside Katie Price's luxury pandemic holidays as doctor blasts her for taking FIFTH trip abroad in a year

WHILE many of us haven't left the country throughout the pandemic, Katie Price has managed to travel abroad five times since March 2020.

Her most recent trip to red list Turkey for a series of cosmetic procedures was criticised by Dr Amir Khan live on Good Morning Britain.

According to current guidelines, you should not travel to countries on the red list.

But the 43-year-old star insisted she safely "followed protocol" as the TV medic criticised her for "not prioritising the health and lives of everyone around us".

Katie appeared on the breakfast show to reveal the results of her brutal operations last month, which she said were integral to her job.

The former glamour model underwent full body liposuction, eye and lip lifts, liposuction under her chin, and fat injected into her bum.

She told GMB hosts Kate Garraway and Alastair Campbell: "I'm working, doing my YouTube.

"I had two Covid jabs, did all my PCR tests, you have to follow protocol.

"I knew going to a red country I'd literally be in hospital, then we flew to an amber country and stayed in a villa in the middle of the hills away from everyone, then came home.

"We didn't muck about at all, it's serious – and it's hard work to do a red country, and I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't had two jabs."

But Amir argued that Katie should have waited until the pandemic was over.

The mother-of-five hit back: "For me it's my work. I'm not doing it to be silly, I'm fully booked and I want to feel good on camera."

While the trip in question was for surgery, Katie – who was declared bankrupt in November 2019 – has also already been to Turkey since the pandemic started, for a holiday.

She has also been to Portugal – twice – and the Maldives, in the past year.

And, Pricey being Pricey, she didn't just choose to stay in any old accommodation – she was lucky enough to stay in villas and resorts charging thousands just for a week's stay.

We take a peek at her trips.

Left in wheelchair in Turkey

In July last year, Katie took her children, 15-year-old Junior, 13-year-old Princess, seven-year-old Jett, and six-year-old Bunny, and her now-fiance Carl Woods, to Turkey to stay at the five-star Akra Hotel in Antalya.

Her 18-year-old son Harvey had been deemed unfit to travel after he was released from hospital following a 10-day stay – including time spent in intensive care.

A source told us at the time: "Harvey will stay at home with his carer and Katie will still go – she's taking Princess and Junior and some of their friends and she didn't want to cancel their holiday and let them down, especially as Princess's birthday party was disrupted by Harvey going to hospital. "

Turkey wasn’t entirely a barrel of laughs, however, as Katie managed to shatter both her feet there after jumping off a wall at theme park, Land of Legends.

Katie was left largely wheelchair-bound by the event, and said at the time she’d never be able to walk again.

Despite her injuries, Katie decided to stay in Turkey on holiday, claiming she was putting her kids first.

Katie's rep told The Mirror: "Katie promised the kids this holiday, and Princess needs it after going through a hard time lately.

"She always puts the kids first, and even though she's in a tremendous amount of discomfort, she doesn't want to let the kids down by making them fly home early."

£1400-a-week Maldives resort

Three months later, just before the second lockdown, Katie and Carl were sunning themselves in the Maldives, staying at a £1,400-a-week resort.

Katie shared a series of snaps from the glam hotel on her Instagram – telling fans she was feeling "peaceful".

Under one photo of her on a boat with Carl, she said: "It feels so amazing to finally be happy and settled."

She even extended her Maldives trip by a week to make sure she got enough content for her YouTube channel, as poor weather made it hard to film.

A representative for Katie added: "Katie has been told by her medical team to take regular hydro therapy (swimming) as it's non weight bearing, aiding her recovery both physically and mentally.

"The family circle support her in this as want for the best outcome in Katie’s recovery program."

But during that holiday, an anonymous source tipped off officials that she was living a glamorous life despite having been declared bankrupt in November 2019. Consequently Katie was asked to appear before a judge.

She told the court via video link: "I appreciate I haven’t been easy to contact.

"I have been places physically and emotionally.”

She insisted her holiday was a “work assignment”.

During chaotic proceedings plagued with technical difficulties, she denied claims she had been enjoying a string of luxury holidays – adding that she doesn't live a "lavish lifestyle".

Katie – who has blasted influencers for going to Dubai during the pandemic – claimed “ninety percent” of her trips were for business.

Two Portugal trips in two weeks

Portugal made it on to the green list back in May, and Katie and her fiance Carl Woods wasted no time in booking the first flight out of UK.

She posted a picture of her snuggling up to Carl taken on board the plane, with both wearing face masks.

She captioned the post: "Yesss finally @CarlJWoods a gorgeous break."

While there, the newly engaged couple shared holiday snaps from their £300-a-night five-bedroom Portugal villa which boasted a huge pool, jacuzzi and BBQ.

A source close to the star told us that Katie was "over the moon" to be jetting off – and that she hoped to return pregnant with baby number six.

They explained: "Katie is over the moon to get away for a holiday with Carl and get him all to herself – she's been feeling stressed trying to get pregnant again.

"She's saying it's a baby-making holiday and so she's hoping some relaxation in the sunshine will be good for them."

Two weeks after returning home from Portugal, she and Carl went back to soak up the sunshine in a lavish four-bed villa offering "total privacy".

After heading to a luxury hotel, the couple went to an Airbnb villa, Villa Jasmim, with rooms currently costing £365 a night – although it is unclear who paid for the trip.

Katie posted a pic of her enjoying a film night with her beau, writing: "Portugal night time movie."

They also showed off their mouth-watering breakfast- with a selection of fruits, yoghurts, pancakes and eggs.
