ITV Im A Celebs Sam Thompson stripped of prize and has nothing to show for win

Sam Thompson soared to victory on this year's season of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, taking home the title of King of the Jungle.

But as well as winning the entire show, the former Made in Chelsea star won the hearts of the nation – and admiration of his fellow camp mates – with his charming personality and bubbly character.

And on Monday's episode of This Morning, 18 December, Sam was joined by the recent Strictly Come Dancing winners, Coronation Street's Ellie Leach and her partner Vito Coppola, as the trio reminisced on their individual experiences.

While chatting to hosts Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson – who was also one of Sam's camp mates but finished in fourth place – he, Ellie and Vito talked about their show memorabilia. As Ellie gushed about receiving her very own Strictly Glitterball trophy, which she brought on the show with her, Sam blurted out that he wasn't actually able to keep anything from I'm A Celeb.

Sam's reaction to Ellie's Glitterball led Josie to ask the 31 year old where his crown was. The I'm A Celeb crown is iconic, and resembles a garland complete with flowers and foliage – every winner is presented with one by Ant and Dec while sitting on the wooden throne.

However, Sam revealed that he left Australia empty handed, telling the presenter and his fellow guests: "I didn't get to keep anything! They wouldn't let me keep anything!"

"I had to give the sceptre back," he continued, before adding that he "really wanted to bring it through airport security" because of how big it is.

"But yeah, I don't have anything to show for it." Sam concluded.

Despite the podcast host not being able to return home with his crown, sceptre, or anything victory related, Sam has left the jungle with some pretty special memories and newly formed friendships.

During his time Down Under, Sam formed a close bond with former boxer Tony Bellew, and the two quickly struck up a bromance that the nation became obsessed with.

The 31 and 41 year olds charmed the audiences with their antics, and the pair have even kept their new relationship going outside of the jungle.

With Sam telling his fans how much he misses Tony on his Instagram stories, to Tony taking to social media to tell his followers how much Sam deserved to win, here's hoping the bromance continues into the future.
