Joel kidnapped and forced to give away liver in Hollyoaks transplant nightmare

Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) is in serious danger in Hollyoaks next week as Norma Crow (Glynis Barber) comes up with an ulterior solution to Warren Fox’s (Jamie Lomas) life-threatening condition.

Warren, as fans know, is facing death, after a trip to the hospital led him to discover that he’s battling liver disease.

The prognosis isn’t good, with Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) telling him that he’s going to die in a matter of months if he doesn’t get a liver transplant.

Norma, however, got wind of her son’s life-threatening situation and, showing emotion for the first time since her debut, resolved to save his life by donating a piece of her liver.

Warren was taken aback, albeit still fuming with her for abandoning him decades ago, but despite his revenge plot, he agreed to let her commit this selfless act, as he got the ball rolling on the transplant with a psychiatric evaluation.

Determined to keep his liver disease a secret, he lies to Grace Black (Tamara Wall) next week, who is assisting him in finding a contact.

Norma, meanwhile, finds herself in serious danger after a betrayal, leaving both Grace and Warren with little choice but to rescue her, but a shock twist leaves someone else a little too close to death.

Left with little choice, Norma then informs Grace all about her plan to get Warren a liver. But, going back on her word, she reveals that it’s not her own, as she’s got someone else in mind.

Norma kidnaps Joel and ties him to a makeshift hospital bed, notifying him about Warren’s condition. Joel is stunned, but he refuses to offer his liver up, and thus Norma resorts to drastic action, as she tells Joel that they’re going to have to do it the hard way instead!

Will Joel make it out of this situation alive? Or will Warren find out what his mother is up to and put a stop to it before it’s too late?
