Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) is set to take matters into her own hands in Hollyoaks next week, after Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) fails to tell her family the truth about her stem cell transplant.
Juliet, as viewers know, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma last year and later received strong treatment as a result but, despite the treatment been successful, she’ll need a stem cell transplant.
Subsequent scenes saw her depart with Peri for Birmingham for the transplant, but the couple return home this week with a secret, with it soon becoming apparent that Juliet was unable to receive her transplant.
Peri struggles to harbour such a secret, begging Juliet to tell her love ones the truth. Juliet, however, refuses to do so, as she doesn’t want to cause the family any more worry given that Donna-Marie Quinn (Lucy-Jo Hudson) is not in a good place, promising to reveal all once things have settled.
Things, however, take quite the turn when Peri discovers that Juliet has put her health at risk by leaving the house and mixing with people.
Juliet subsequently promises to reveal the truth to her family so that they’ll understand why she has to keep so isolated, but Peri later discovers her girlfriend outside once again, leaving her overcome with worry.

Peri, as some fans will know, takes matters into her own hands, telling Donna-Marie and Romeo (Owen Warner) the truth about Juliet not getting the transplant, which these scenes previewed in the show’s Spring trailer, which dropped last month.
Afterwards, Peri is overwhelmed with emotion and breaks down, as Juliet promises she will do whatever is needed to get treatment.
