KYM Marsh has sent a message of support to Danny Dyer as he prepares to become a granddad at 43.
The actress, who has a one-year-old grandson, told the EastEnders star that "it definitely has some perks".
Kym, 44, congratulated the fellow soap legend following the news that his daughter Dani was pregnant with her first child.
Discussing how she became a young grandparent at the same age, she wrote in her OK! magazine column: "I became a grandparent at 43, too.
"I always knew my daughter Emilie would be a great mum and being a young grandparent definitely has its perks."
The former Corrie fave added: "I have much more energy so I can run around after my grandson Teddy.
"I also don't mind people thinking I look too young to be a grandparent. It's certainly a compliment."
When her grandson was born, Kym revealed her unusual pet name.
Announcing Teddy's birth she told her social media followers: "So I'm now officially Loli, which is what I'm being called instead of Grandma."
Emilie is Kym's 23-year-old daughter from her relationship with builder Dave Cunliffe, they also have a son, David, 25.
Kym is also mum to Polly, nine, her daughter with ex-husband Jamie Lomas.
