The Chase host Bradley Walsh was joined by four new contestants Sarah, Stephen, Natasha, and George, as they took on the challenge to beat the Chaser in a new episode on Wednesday afternoon. Whilst presenting the show, Bradley was interrupted by the contestants having their own conversation, forcing him to stop what he was doing and ask if they were alright.

After contestant Natasha beat Shaun Wallace and brought £1,000 back to the table, Bradley was interrupted by Sarah and Stephen having a conversation of their own.

Sarah was overheard saying: “We’ve gone low, we’ve hardly got anybody out, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show like it.”

Bradley faced the camera looking confused before Sarah noticed and said giggling: “Sorry, I was just saying what a great show it is, I’ve never seen a show like this one.”

Stephen then added: “She was just saying he’s a big pussycat,” referring to Shaun Wallace, who was sat patiently waiting.

Bradley then turned to the camera and said: “Don’t ask me what’s going on, I haven’t got a clue I’ve never made a show like this one, it’s extraordinary.”

“It is because we all got back,” Sarah shouted, to which Bradley replied: “No, I mean you’re so interrupting the lot of you, it’s like being at school.”

All the contestants laughed at Bradley’s comment before moving on to the next round, which was George’s turn.

Earlier in the show, Sarah also sparked a frenzy on Twitter when she walked back to the desk after winning her round and leaving Bradley on his own.

Throughout the round, Sarah kept getting confused with how long she had to answer the questions and asked Bradley: “How long do I have?”

Trying to fluster her, Shaun responded: “Not too long, don’t worry.”

After getting £3,000 in the cash-builder and beating Shaun on the board, Sarah was so chuffed she had won the round, she took herself back to the desk before Bradley could say anything.

As she won the round, she exclaimed, “Yes!” before walking away from Bradley, leaving him standing alone at the table.

Throwing his arms in the air, he exclaimed: “Where are you going? Come back Sarah, I don’t know what to make of that.”

“That was unbelievable, I’d gone home halfway down there,” Sarah told Bradley.

Viewers of the show were quick to express their happiness and love for Sarah on Twitter, with Cal writing: “Omg, this woman in the chase is a reality TV legend #thechase.” (sic)

With Nicola’Sian also adding: “Sarah is so funny! #thechase.”

Stephen was up after Sarah who managed to come back with another £1,000 pushing their money pot up to £5,000.

Unfortunately, George, the last contestant who built up £5,000 in the cash-builder, was eliminated from the show.

The team managed to get 14 steps ahead of Shaun in the final round, with Sarah answering most of the questions and the two pushbacks.

Sadly, despite their best efforts, the team didn’t manage to beat Shaun, with him catching them up with 26 seconds to go.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
