Line of Duty show boss posts outrageous shoot-out ‘spoilers’ – leaving BBC fans in stitches

LINE of Duty's show boss has posted outrageous shoot-out ‘spoilers’ – leaving BBC fans in stitches.

The sixth season of the hit BBC drama is currently in production, and writer Jed Mercurio couldn't help tease fans with the on-going 'Who is H?' mystery.

Taking to Twitter today, Jed shared a snap of the show's stars Martin Compston and Vicky McClure pointing a gun at each other in the middle of the office while Adrian Dunbar – who some fans think could be H – lies 'dead' on a chair between them.

As the Superintendent lies prone on the chair, a huge white H is propped up against his knees.

Jed captioned the funny shot: "A great first week of filming #LineofDuty Series 6 ⁦@BBCOne
@worldprods with ⁦@martin_compston @Vicky_McClure ⁩ Adrian Dunbar.

"Here’s a publicity shot that’s been approved 100% spoiler free by ⁦⁦@bbcpress."

⁩Fans were loving the cheeky snap, with one tweeting: "this is the best photo to ever exist."

Another wrote: "Brilliant- I love how you guys have so much fun filming x".

A third agreed, writing: "H for hilarious."

The picture comes after it was revealed that Vicky, 36, will team up with Jed's production company for a new ITV thriller, Trigger Point.

The series will see Vicky play Lana Washington, an expert front-line officer in a bomb disposal squad called Expo.

Despite her experience, Lana is pushed to breaking point while dealing with a terrorist campaign targeting London.

The 54-year-old – who will serve as executive producer – has described Trigger Point as a "breathless thriller that will have viewers on the edge of their seats".
