Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall faked backache and pretended to be exhausted to help hide Perrie & Leigh-Anne's pregnancies

LITTLE Mix's Jade Thirlwall faked backache and pretended to be exhausted to help hide Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock's pregnancies.

The singer, 28, went to extreme measures to try and cover up her bandmates exciting news until they were ready to share it with the rest of the world.

During rehearsals in the early stages of their pregnancies Jade pretended to suffer from the same symptoms as them to throw people off the scent.

In a recent interview Perrie, 27, revealed: "We were pregnant at the time and so out of breath, but we didn't want anybody to know… so like choreographers and things.

"We didn't want anyone to know so Jade was going 'oh my back' and she was joining in!

"Leigh-Anne was going 'my back hurts' and Jade would go 'oh my back, I know, my back is gone!'"

Jade chimed in: "Any excuse for me to sit out for five minutes… I was just like 'yeah me too!'"

Perrie added: "We were all in it together!"

But that wasn't the only thing Jade did over the past few months to try hide their exciting news.

She also helped hide their bumps whilst smiling for pictures with clever "eclipse" and "clustering" poses.

They also rocked baggy outfits while promoting their first single as a trio, and even dressed up as males in the music video to conceal their identities.

Little Mix – who were recently the first girl band to win the Brit award for Best British Group – shocked fans when Perrie and Leigh-Anne announced their pregnancies less than a week apart.

Leigh-Anne, 29, shared the news on Instagram with a stunning photoshoot that revealed her naked bump.

The star wore a silk dressing gown and emerald green underwear in the glam snaps.

She said: "We've dreamed about this moment for so long and we can't believe the dream is finally coming true… we can't wait to meet you. ❤️?"

The Sweet Melody songstress is set to welcome a baby with fiance Andre Gray later this year.

Fans were ecstatic about the news, but were left utterly speechless when Perrie announced she was expecting too just six days later.

The Geordie lass, who is in a relationship with footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, also took to Instagram to announce the new milestone in their relationship.

Alongside a loved-up picture of couple and a close up of her growing bump, Perrie told 11.9m followers: "So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate

"Me + Him = You ?♥️.

"We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!"

The past month has been extremely busy for the girls, who released their first music video as a trio following Jesy Nelson's departure in December.

Confetti, which is also the name of their sixth album, sees the trio play male alter-egos, and it's proved a hit with fans.

Meanwhile Jesy has been hard at work in the studio laying down her debut solo material.

Little Mix shot to fame in 2011 on the eighth series of X Factor.

They were the first group to win the ITV show and over the past ten years have toured the world, won a number of prestigious awards and hit the number one spot numerous times.
