Love Island: All Stars has been confirmed by ITV, with the news first being announced on Tuesday's Good Morning Britain, with the Love Island Twitter account then sharing the exciting news on social media.
Sharing a photo of the iconic villa, the account wrote: "The rumours are true! [yellow heart emoji] #LoveIsland: All Stars is coming soon…"
Mike Spencer, Creative Director at Lifted Entertainment, the company that produces Love Island, said: "It has been rumoured now for a while but we are thrilled to finally confirm that we are making Love Island: All Stars early next year for ITV2 and ITVX.
"It's set to be a must watch series seeing some of your favourite Islanders from across the years heading back to the stunning South African villa to once again 'graft' as their search for love continues. I simply can't wait!"
Fans have shared their own excitement at the series on social media with one tweeting: "YAY!! EXCITED!! My dream people to return would definitely be Chris and Kem. [laughing emoji] #LoveIsland"
"They have an opportunity to do something iconic, I might actually watch it again for the first time in a few years if they get it right" added one former fan of the show.
Longtime fans of the show have also be sharing which former islanders they hope will return to the villa, as one wrote: "Do it well or don’t do it at all. We want adam, we want Megan, we want Maura, we want Terry. Bring back the fire starters"
"They needed an excuse to bring Adam for the third time" quipped another, while a third added: "This will not slap unless Maura is on it sorry"
The confirmation of the special all-stars series comes after it was announced that there will be a special Love Island spin-off coming in November titled Love Island Games.
The spin-off will see fan-favourites from across the series, and across the world, battle it out for a second chance at finding their perfect match.
