Madonna fans convinced she has undergone hip replacement after star shares pic of bone on Instagram

MADONNA has spent 37 years at the top of her game but after changing up her sound for her most recent album, she has now switched hip-hop for a hip op.

The superstar, who collaborated with rapper Swae Lee and Migos member Quavo on her 14th album Madame X last year, has fans convinced she has undergone a hip replacement.

She shared a photo last week that showed scars at the top of her thigh.

But followers have noticed she also posted an image of what appears to be a “femoral head”, the highest part of the thigh bone, which is replaced during the op.

After putting the snaps on Instagram she referred to herself as a “survivor”, which has spurred fans’ beliefs she went under the knife for the major op.

Medical professionals have told me the scars on her leg do not look like those from a full hip replacement, although the gory other photo does look like the femoral head.

If she has had the operation, it is sure to give her a new lease of life having had to struggle through her spectacular six-month Madame X tour due to hip and knee issues.

She had to cancel 14 shows because of her injuries and in May, two months after the tour ended, she revealed she was undergoing “regenerative treatment for my missing cartilage” for her knee.

She joked on Instagram at the time: “I would be jumping up and down if I could after eight months of being in pain. Wish me luck!”

Last December, three months into her tour, she said she was “in tears from the pain of my injuries”, which she said was “indescribable”.

Madonna, who is no spring chicken at 62 and who had been using a stick to walk, also said doctors had warned her she risked doing “irreversible damage” by continuing with her energetic stage show.

However, she has recently been spending time in Los Angeles and New York and appears far lighter on her feet.

The enforced time off has done her the world of good and I’m sure it’ll be no time before she’s back up on stage doing what she does best.

Hair we go again Halsey

HALSEY is back with a full barnet after recently shaving her head.

The Without Me singer posted a load of stunning snaps on her Instagram of her wearing this leopard-print outfit and revealing her mismatched undies.

Acknowledging her fake dark locks, she told her social media followers: “I know I been bald but I just wanted to remind y’all I’m still that bitch.”

Whatever that means.

Mick v Gemma in gin war

IN the most unlikely head-to-head of the festive season, the Rolling Stones are doing battle with Gemma Collins – each releasing their own gin today.

Mick Jagger's rock icons have collaborated with Goldy Gin for their limited-edition bottles, featuring their tongue logo, which are £49 at Selfridges.

In comparison, The GC’s drink, FlaGINgo Gemma Collins, a kiwi and lime gin liqueur, is a steal at £20.

Now that is fast

TOM Hardy was picked for one of his first major films in just “105 seconds” according to film director Ed Blum.

He filmed his part in less than 24 hours for 2006 comedy drama Scenes Of A Sexual Nature alongside Ewan McGregor, Catherine Tate and Hugh Bonneville.

Geri beauty treatment pays off

SPICE Girls fans can thank Geri Horner's horse for getting the band back together.

She says Beauty was the inspiration for the reunion last year with Mel B, Emma Bunton and Mel C, though Victoria Beckham dipped out.

On a new episode of her Rainbow Woman series on YouTube, she said:
“When I found Beauty, I got my courage back.

“Stepping out on stage with the Spice Girls again, I felt, ‘You know what? It’s all right’. The feeling of freedom and joy was greater than the fear. And I think Beauty taught me that.”

With the long face, Beauty could’ve replaced Posh . . .

Doing the rounds

LITTLE Mix single Sweet Melody, at No4 in the midweek chart update last night, was originally destined for Demi Lovato.

MNEK, who helped write the song with Tayla Parx, said: “We wrote it about three years ago for this Demi Lovato writing camp we went to. After a while it was doing the rounds – Selena Gomez, JoJo and Hailee Steunfeld.

“Then Tayla was in with Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock and they’d written Not A Pop Song from their album Confetti. They loved Sweet Melody.”

That's the spirit Liam

POOR old Liam Payne has been Up All Night – because he’s got a ghost.

The One Direction singer has just bought a new home which he says is even spookier than his old house in London, where he also felt a ghoulish presence.

He said: “I didn’t sleep well last night.

“I’ve moved into an even more haunted house. It was built in the 1500s and it’s old and scary.”

He added on Instagram Live: “Maybe we’ll do some sort of haunted Big Brother-style thing. That could be quite fun.”

Liam has told how he was woken by a loud noise, which he was convinced came from a ghost, at his old home.

He said: “I was in bed and there was a bang.

“I’m sat in my room going, ‘Is anybody there? Did you just make that knock?’

“Then the wardrobe light in my room came on and the door of the wardrobe was closed, so something had to move. It was a freaky moment.”

Liam also reckons the Los Angeles gaff he shared with Cheryl Tweedy was haunted.

Talking about the ghost there, he said: “He’s called Alan. I’ve never seen him but these lights were coming on at three o’clock in the morning.”

Remind me never to have a sleepover round Liam’s.

Cuff luck, Tom

THERE was no missing a suited Tom Cruise as he dashed around Rome shooting action scenes for the next Mission: Impossible film.

The Hollywood actor wore a shirt, tie and waistcoat in the Italian capital, returning to the movie series as spy Ethan Hunt, and this time with Brit beauty co-star Hayley Atwell.

Tom was seen crouching while handcuffed to her and in another scene wearing a mask and driving an amusingly tiny yellow classic Fiat 500.

You wouldn’t get James Bond squeezing into one of those.
