Adrienne Naylor has shared that despite having an emotional reconciliation with ex-Matt Pilmoor during the Married At First Sight reunion, the pair have managed to remain friendly since.
The project support officer was paired with window cleaner Matt on the show, and they appeared a strong match, lasting all the way through before a surprising split after filming.
She and Matt saw each other once again at the show's reunion, which was emotional as they delved into the details of their split. And more recently, Matt has gone public with his relationship with co-star Shona Manderson – with the pair even sharing their plans to tie the knot one day during a chat with OK!.
Despite appearing rocky, Adrienne exclusively tells OK! that she and Matt actually exchanged a number of texts while the show was airing as she details their relationship.
She explained: "Matt and I didn’t speak after the reunion, with the way that things were left. But, we did then speak when our wedding was airing and it’s been nice.
"We had conversations and messages quite a few times back and forth about some of the memories that we made, so yeah. Even though we didn’t work out, it’s memories that will last us both a lifetime. We just weren’t each other's person."
Among those memories are Matt and Adrienne's wedding day, which she looks back on fondly. When asked what the day was like, she replied: "I had the best day for our wedding, it was magical. All of our friends and family got on – Matt and I got on like a house on fire. I can’t even describe it, it was so good."
Following Matt's new romance with Shona, Adrienne is also ready to be dating again as she continues her quest for love. "Even though the show was just aired on TV, we filmed back in May and me and Matt broke it off in June time. It’s been a while. So, I’m ready to be dating again."
But dating may have to be put on the back-burner as she is jam-packed between work, recently moving house, and teaming up with BPerfect Cosmetics as a brand ambassador.
She said of the collaboration: "BPerfect have been a dream, as a brand overall, I love their products anyway, but I love how affordable they are. I am a council house girly through and through, so I've not always had money to spend willy-nilly. I think it’s so important to be able to buy luxury brands that are affordable."
