Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins: Series 5 trailer
Former health secretary Matt Hancock can be seen in tears in the new trailer for the upcoming series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
In the opening seconds of the trailer, Matt is seen having a black sack ripped off his head as the rain beats down on him.
He can also be seen crawling through muddy water, undertaking what looks to be a very violent game of rugby and struggling to keep his balance as he is shouted at by chief instructor Mark “Billy” Billingham, as well as his directing staff of Jason “Foxy” Fox, Rudy Reyes and Chris Oliver.
During what appears to be an interrogation, the MP starts tearing up. And he isn’t the only one during the short clip from the upcoming episodes.

Matt joins 15 other celebrity contestants, including singers Gareth Gates, Michelle Heaton and Siva Kaneswaran, reality TV stars James Argent and Amber Turner and former football player Jermaine Pennant, in the Channel 4 reality show’s biggest line-up yet.
They are joined by comedian Zoe Lyons, actress Kirsty-Leigh Porter, TV personalities Melinda Messenger and Danielle Lloyd and former rugby player Gareth Thomas. Completing the lineup are Love Island contestants Teddy Soares and Montana Brown, Paralympic gold medallist Jon-Allan Butterworth and British Olympian Perri Shakes-Drayton.
This is the fifth series of the celebrity spin-off of the original SAS: Who Dares Wins show. And it looks like the famous faces will be put through their paces during their time in the remote jungle of Thung Ui, North Vietnam.

Matt revealed: “Being on SAS was like nothing else I’ve ever experienced. It’s one of the toughest physical and mental things I’ve ever done. It really opens your eyes and makes you look into yourself.”
He also remarked that he “wanted to be pushed” to his “limits” after “coming through the most challenging period as Health Secretary during the pandemic.
“It’s safe to say the course tested my resilience,” he concluded.
Viewers will need to tune in to see how Matt and the fellow celebrities get on in the gruelling challenges and under some rather inhospitable conditions when the reality show returns in a few weeks time.
This isn’t Matt’s first stint on reality TV either. He controversially appeared on last year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! where he finished third behind winner and former England Lioness Jill Scott and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns to Channel 4 on September 26 at 9.30pm.
