Netflixs Emily In Paris season two stars former Waterloo Road and Coronation Street actor

Netflix's feel-good sensation Emily in Paris is due back on December 22 and we can't wait to see what Lily Collins' character gets up to in the much-anticipated second season.

We spotted that Emily has a new love interest in the trailer and it turns out the guy who plays him is none other than Lucien Laviscount.

The 29-year-old actor had his first break in 2007 as Jake Briggs in BBC's Grange Hill. After that, he stared in ITV soap Coronation Street in 2009 as Ben Richardson. Lucien then returned to the BBC where he played Waterloo Road's love-struck schoolboy Jonah Kirby.

The cast of Emily in Paris 2.0 features many much-loved faces from the show's first run including Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel) and, of course, the lovely Lily Collins returns to reprise her role as Emily.

Also making a comeback are Phillippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Slyvie, Camille Razat as Camille and William Abadie as Antoine Lambert.

Lucien joins the stellar cast as another love interest for Emily – and by the looks of the trailer, it seems the pair will be cozying up as their Parisienne romance takes hold.

Before his upcoming stint on the Netflix phenomenon, Lucien earned his acting legs during his time on some British TV classics.

In Coronation Street he played Ben – one one quarter of a new group of teenagers made up of Brooke Vincent (Sophie Webster), Sacha Parkinson (Sian Powers) and Ben Thompson (Ryan Connor).

He was the captain of the school's swimming tram and enjoyed a fling with his mate Sophie before dumping her because she threw a drink over Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) for flirting with him.

His stint in Waterloo Road as Jonah was also peppered with romance, but this time it was a classic forbidden love story.

Jonah fell for the gorgeous Miss Montoya (Karen Shenaz David) and the pair embarked on an inappropriate affair under everyone's noses before running off to get married.

Lucien also starred in season 8 of Celebrity Big Brother and has since featured in shows such as Casualty, Shameless, Skins and Death in Paradise.
