Nicky heartbroken as he's dumped by Suni before explosive night out in Emmerdale | The Sun

AFTER his failed wedding with Gabby Thomas, Nicky Milligan managed to get a fresh start with Suni Sharma.

But the Emmerdale hunk played by Lewis Cope is devastated when his other half calls time on their relationship next week.

Nicky Milligan was once a huge villain in the eponymous village after he confessed to seducing Gabby Thomas with the goal of snatching the Tate family fortune to help his father Caleb.

Rejected by villagers, Nicky was eventually able to settle down as his father bought Mill Cottage from Vinny Dingle.

Once Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) rocked up the Dales, Nicky was finally able to move on from his past chaotic love life and focus on a stable romance with the newcomer.

Unfortunately, there's trouble in paradise for the pair as Suni makes a shocking decision next week on ITV and it's all down to his seemingly homophobic father Amit.

Coming up next week, failing to connect with Laurel and the rest of the family, Amit decides it's time for him to return to India.

The decision leaves Suni shocked beyond belief and, the following day, he tries to convince Laurel to change her mind about Amit.

Suni also attempts to get Amit to reconsider leaving the Dales.

Later on, Laurel tries to find out from Nicky why Amit punched him, neither aware that the latter is watching suspiciously, worried his secret could get out.

Suni books a night out with Nicky, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and Ethan Anderson (Emile John) for the next day.

But with Suni untrusting whether Nicky has kept the secret, he calls time on their relationship, but is instantly regretful.

Will he go after Nicky and resolve their issues?

How will it impact his relationship with his father Amit?

Former EastEnders actor Anil Goutam rocked up the Dales for the first time earlier this year as he took on the role of Suni and Jai's father, Amit Sharma.

At the time, Jai Sharma had just figured out he'd been adopted and finally learned Amit, Rishi's brother, was his biological father.

Once Rishi passed away from a seemingly accidental fall down his stairs, the plot thickened as Amit revealed he was present when his brother died.

To make matters worse, Amit was shown to be hostile towards his son Suni's boyfriend, Nicky as they were caught up in a heated exchange.

When Nicky confronted Amit with the knowledge he was with Rishi when he died, the newcomer punched him before getting accused of being homophobic.

Most of the family, including Jai's wife Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) have been keeping their distance from Amit due to his apparent homophobia.

But will the truth ever be revealed?

Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
