Sir David Jason has no plans to hand in his helicopter licence, despite having hip replacement surgery earlier this year.
The 83-year-old pulled out of an Only Fools And Horses convention in August after surgery to fix his faulty joint.
The Del Boy actor renewed his helicopter pilot’s licence as an older flyer in 2005 and, despite reduced mobility, has no intention of giving it up.

A source said: “David has recovered well from the operation and is feeling cushty after a few months.
“He’s told friends he can’t wait to fly his helicopter again, it’s such a huge passion of his.”
In his autobiography, A Del Of A Life, the actor recalled of his first, unsuccessful, flying exam: “I managed to get lost and had to land in a field to ask a farmer for directions.
“Still, I passed eventually, and with the need I had to get to locations up and down the country, I managed to rationalise buying my own little machine – a Robinson 44, my mechanical pride and joy.”
Sir David is set to appear at the rearranged Only Fools convention in January.
