Paul Foreman reveals plan to end his own life in Coronation Street | The Sun

THE beloved builder was diagnosed with motor neurone disease earlier this year.

As the illness slowly takes over, Paul Foreman decides he'll be meeting his maker on his own terms next week in Coronation Street.

The fan favourite played by Peter Ash has a limited amount of time left in the cobbles and spends the most of it making plans with his loved ones.

In recent scenes of the ITV soap, Paul and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) decided to take their relationship to the next level by getting married before it's too late.

However, next week, Paul reveals he has another project in mind as he prepares to end his own life as part of assisted suicide plot.

Coming up, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) hands Billy and Paul a polaroid camera for their stag do and explains that phones are banned.

Paul is thrilled by the idea and as the couple arrive at the Bistro, Billy’s taken aback by all the glitter and the rainbows but his other half loves it.

Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) leads the drinking games and Billy starts to relax.

Meanwhile the police call at No.7 and tell Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) they’d like her to answer some questions regarding a potential fraud investigation involving Shelly Rothington.

At the station, Bernie makes out she’s simply helping a young woman with MND by collecting a few parcels for her.

But the police have a shock revelation for Bernie that leaves Paul reeling.

What will they say?

As viewers will remember, Paul met Shelly at a motor neurone disease support group while he struggled to come to terms with his diagnosis.

Bernie and Paul recently found out that she has been buying computers and selling them off in an attempt to pay for her carers and the pair have helped her raise money.
