PHILLIP Schofield guessed correctly that Stacey Solomon would choose a floral baby name for her newborn daughter.
The 32-year-old star gave birth to her little girl last Monday but only announced the little one's name, Rose Opal Esmè, this week.
But now Phillip revealed he not only knew Stacey had given birth before she told the world, but that he had a strong feeling she would name her something floral.
Stacey announced Rose's name on Tuesday, more than a week after giving birth and Phil discussed it the following day on This Morning with co-host, Holly Willoughby.
His daughter, Molly, 28, works for Stacey as her talent manager, so he had the inside scoop.
"My Molly looks after Stacey, and we knew she had the baby, so we were keeping all that quiet," he explained.
"She [Molly] said, 'I think she might be going for a flower name.'"
Then his whole family started weighing on name options via text messages.
"I went for Clematis or Hydrangea," Phillip joked.
The 32-year-old star gave birth to her little girl last Monday, which was also her birthday.
The name of Stacey and fiancé Joe's new baby has a special meaning for the loved-up couple.
Joe proposed to her on Christmas Eve at a spot filled with white roses during a romantic woodland walk.
The star also explained how Joe popped the question while on a walk in the woods opposite their house with her two sons Leighton, nine, Zachary, 13, and their two-year-old child Rex.
The choice of 'Opal' as a middle name holds particular weight for the couple.
In addition to it being Rose and Stacey's birthstone, it is also incredibly meaningful to the proud parents' relationship.
Last year, Joe proposed to Stacey with a special engagement ring that has two Australian opals inside.
This was a reference to "where they fell in love", with the pair meeting Down Under when Stacey competed on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, and ex contestant Joe hosted its sister programme on ITV2.
Stacey had said of her stunning rock at the time: “Sometimes I take it off just to look inside it. Because inside it are two Australian Opals.
“Opal is my birthstone and Australia is where we fell in love. It gives me goosebumps every time I look at them.”
