Piers Morgan, 55, and Susanna Reid, 49, were on hand to host another weekday edition of Good Morning Britain today and were joined by a panel of guests to discuss the latest headlines from around the globe. One such speaker included Conservative mayoral candidate for London Shaun Bailey, 49, and as a member of the party currently sitting in government, the ITV presenter wanted to find out what his guest thought about senior political advisor Dominic Cummings, 48, supposedly breaching coronavirus lockdown rules back in April. However, as things got heated, the journalist slammed the Tory Party member as he grilled him on how he would have approached the matter differently.

Mr Cummings made headlines across the UK last week for making a 260 mile round trip from London to Durham after he sought childcare from family members in the north when his wife began to show signs of COVID-19.

Many of the political strategist’s colleagues came out in defence of his actions, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson, 55, stating the chief advisor went on his “instinct” as a father and a husband.

However, Morgan wanted to understand what the mayoral candidate thought of the matter and in response, Mr Bailey tried to remain professional.

In doing so, he was shut down by the host as the presenter told him: “Stop worrying about upsetting Dom and Boris and grow a pair.”
