Mike Tindall has proved to be a huge hit with I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! fans since this year’s series began. However, royal expert Angela Levin has claimed the Prince and Princess of Wales will not be pleased with their royal in-law’s appearance after he recently opened up on his and Zara Tindall’s marriage.

Royal biographer Angela has claimed the royals would not have liked Mike’s recent comments on his first meeting with Zara.

Reflecting on his motivation behind the jungle stint, she said: “What’s persuaded him?

“Is it because he’s bored and wants to have some fun? Is it because he’s desperate to earn more money?

“I think it brings the Royal Family into disrepute. I don’t think it’s the right thing to say that when he and Zara met they both discovered they like to get smashed.

“I don’t think that’s anybody’s business, I don’t think anybody should know.

“It was quite embarrassing to do rapping – I don’t think that suited him. Why is he there for goodness sake.”

She claimed William and Kate have been left “very upset and very sad” by Mike’s jungle stint.

Earlier in the week, Mike opened up to his campmates about how he and Zara met.

The former England rugby player said: “I was at the World Cup, she was out watching.

“I got dropped from the semi-final. I was pissed off and so I went for a beer with another guy who got dropped and a guy who was over [in Sydney].

“They’d met her before and they introduced us and then got chatting.”

He “continued: “First actual date, just went out for lunch locally. And ended up being quite a boozy one.

“Then we figured out that we both quite like getting smashed. It was a good start.”

Campmate Owen Warner asked: “So if you never got dropped you never would have met her?”

Mike stated it was the “best decision of [former England rugby coach] Clive Woodward’s life”.

Meanwhile, I’m A Celebrity fans have tipped Mike to win this year’s series.

@EmilyGraham1998 tweeted: “I’ve said it from the start and I will say it again, Jill and Mike are my final two #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity.”

@Mofoman360 added: “Mike Tindall for the Win the man is a Legend #ImACelebrity #ImaCeleb #ImACelebrityGetMeOutOfHere #MikeTindall.”
