Former Pussycat Doll and actress Kimberly Wyatt is the latest celebrity to be confirmed to appear on the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice.
The star revealed she would be joining the likes of Coronation Street's Sally Dynevor, Happy Mondays Bez and Love Island's Liberty Poole in a recent radio chat on Heart Breakfast.
In a catch-up with fellow Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, Kimberly revealed: “I have signed up for Dancing on Ice! I’m nervous, that ice is going to hit hard. I’m just excited to see what I can do on there. I’m up for a challenge!”
Other famous faces already confirmed for the series are rugby star Ben Foden, Paul Gascoigne’s son, Regan Gascoigne, pop star Rachel Stevens, professional dancer Brendan Cole, presenter Ria Hebden and BMX Olympic silver medalist Kye Whyte.
The show will return to ITV and ITV Hub in the new year with the celebrity contestants and their professional partners skating live each week to impress the panel and viewers.
S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens will also be getting her skates on and chatted to This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about the announcement.
Rachel said: “It now feels really real, this is really happening. I’m so excited, obviously really nervous. It's one of those things, until you do it you don’t know what’s going to happen.”
Asking Rachel whether she had skated before, she said, “Only with the penguin with my kids you know every Christmas.
"I did it when I was 10 (years old) and dabbled in it for a little bit and I really loved it but I’m very wobbly.”
When Phillip and Holly asked Rachel why she chose to take part in the competition, Rachel said “The opportunity came up and I thought what an amazing opportunity to learn a new skill.
I love the whole idea of working with a team and your partner and also for my girls to be a part of this. They are at an age now where they love all the costumes.”
Corrie star Sally Dynevor was also announced as the first celebrity to be taking part in the series.
Talking to Lorraine Kelly on her ITV daytime show, Dynevor said, "Oh my gosh, Lorraine. This morning I was really nervous…now everyone knows I'm doing it, I can't get out of it!"
The Coronation Street actress, who plays Sally in the soap, also said, "I can't wait to meet [Jane] Torvill and [Christopher] Dean.
"They make it look so easy!"
A broadcast date for the new series on Dancing on Ice has yet to be confirmed, but it is reported that the show will be on our tv screens in early 2022.
The judging panel will again feature Jane Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo.
