A YEAR on from the breakdown of his marriage, Rag’n’Bone Man has proven he is only human, after all, as he’s fallen for a new woman.
I can reveal the singer is dating down-to-earth mum-of-three Zoe Beardsall, who works in a cafe near his home in East Sussex.
It’s great news for the British musician, whose real name is Rory Graham, following his shock split from wife Beth Rouy.
They were together for a decade and welcomed a son, Reuben, now three, before getting hitched in vibrant tracksuits in 2019. But within six months it was all over.
Now Rag’n’Bone Man, who had the biggest male debut album of 2017 with his record Human, is in a new relationship which has inspired his new music.
A source close to the star said: “Rory isn’t the type of guy to surround himself with showbiz pals or to have a celebrity girlfriend. He’s very down to earth.
“His fame has been a bit strange to him because while he loves making music, he’s a regular guy and wants to have a normal life.
“With Zoe they just really get along and like each other. Neither of them have had an easy ride when it comes to relationships but they’ve become really close.
“They both have kids too, so they feel like they’re on the same page.”
The Sun revealed Rag’n’Bone Man’s marriage split in November 2019, with pals saying: “It’s a great shame, but these things happen.
“Everyone is staying amicable and they have a son together, who is their top priority.”
Rag’n’Bone Man is gearing up for a return in the coming weeks after three years spent working on his next record.
I was treated to a preview of his new music a few weeks ago and judging by what I heard, I’m sure there are big things in store for him once again in 2021.
The last couple of years must have been tricky but the new year gives him the chance to move on and start afresh.
Stars join New Year Jama party
MAYA JAMA wore all white on the night on BBC1’s Big New Year’s In bash, and said of 2020: “It’s been a bit s**t, but praying for a better 2021.”
Joining the at-home celebrations were Liz Hurley, Pixie Lott and Vanessa Hudgens. I’m A Celeb’s AJ Pritchard brandished champagne and a sparkler, while Rod Stewart doffed his cap to fellow Scots celebrating Hogmanay.
Meanwhile, pals of slimline Adele shared a previously unseen snap of the star smoking and knocking back a pint on the kerb with mates.
The night’s goodwill even saw Liam Gallagher extend an olive branch to Noel, tweeting: “Love you long time 2021 is our year. C’mon man you know.”
An Oasis reunion? Now that really would make for a happy new year.
Liam’s AHS bid
LIFE behind the scenes in One Direction was at times a bit sexy and a bit scary, so it’s no wonder Liam Payne thinks he’d feel right at home in the American Horror Story cast.
The singer’s New Year’s resolution is to follow in the footsteps of Lady Gaga by landing a role in Glee creator Ryan Murphy’s twisted TV drama, which has also featured Emma Roberts and Sarah Paulson across its ten seasons.
Liam told fans on Instagram Live: “I wanna be in American Horror Story if they make another series. I wanna get killed off in American Horror Story – that’s my New Year’s resolution.
“I wanna be something evil. So let’s put that out in the world – let the world do its thing and come back in.”
As resolutions go, it’s a bloody good one.
Strictly no, Kim
IT seems whenever the Pussycat Dolls appear on TV, complaints are sure to follow. But it’s not raunchy outfits that cost Kimberly Wyatt a spot on Strictly Come Dancing.
The star revealed that cagey BBC bosses turned her down after bandmate Ashley Roberts’ appearance on the 2018 series led to a fix row over her previous dance experience.
Kimberly told me: “From any chats that I’ve had, Strictly feel that I’m too professional to be a contestant. So much as I’d love to learn ballroom, my dancing experience holds me back as a contestant.”
Seems unfair, given that Strictly let Kimberly’s fellow Got To Dance judge Aston Merrygold take part the year before Ashley.
And the star is not happy with those 538 viewers who complained about the Dolls’ sexy costumes during performances on X Factor: Celebrity in 2019 and The One Show last year.
Kimberly said: “It makes me sad people are so hung up on costumes.
“Pussycat Dolls stand for being empowered females owning their space and being there for each other.”
That sentiment gets a ten from me.
Harry 'bags of style
HARRY Styles is far from a Fleabag as he dances with Phoebe Waller-Bridge in his dazzling new music video.
Looking like he’d just swanned in from an epic New Year’s Eve party, the heart-throb donned a sparkling blazer and bow tie for the retro clip for song Treat People With Kindness.
Not to be outdone, comedian Phoebe made her entrance in a suave white tuxedo, sipping champagne before being pulled up on stage by Harry.
The fun-filled video, which ends with Harry falling into Phoebe’s arms, was a big hit with fans, clocking up almost 1.7million views within three hours of its release yesterday.
Anne plans Birthday party
ANNE-MARIE had to lay low for her 30th birthday in April but is planning the biggest party of the year this time around if regulations are relaxed.
The singer, who released her hit Birthday last February, says she is eager for a massive blowout once the new Covid vaccine is rolled out.
She told me: “I’m going to have the fattest party ever. Last year I was planning to have one and that did not happen. So this year has to make up for that.”
She has plenty of showbiz friends, including Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat and Little Mix, so I expect the guest list will be huge.
She added: “I’m inviting everyone I know. So bear in mind, it might be the biggest of 2021.”
I’ll keep an eye out for my invite.
