Ravi struggles to accept Nugget's death after bad news from police in EastEnders

Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) has been frantic with worry following the sudden disappearance of son Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) in EastEnders.

Nugget fled Walford after learning that Ravi had been responsible for killing Ranveer, and has kept him in the dark about his whereabouts ever since.

The only person who knows that Nugget is safe and well is Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), who has been determined to let Ravi suffer after having her own son, Kheerat, attacked in prison.

However, in upcoming scenes, Suki urges Nugget to let Ravi know he is alive after the police find the youngster’s mobile by the canal.

Ravi is sick with worry as they announce that they plan to dredge the water as part of their search, and Suki realises the affect this must be having on the terrified dad.

After receiving a secret phone call from Suki, Nugget drops Ravi a text to inform him that he is still alive.

Ravi, who has spent the night searching for his missing son, is elated, and more determined than ever to track Nugget down.

Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) is quick to suggest showing the test to the police, in the hopes that they may be able to track young Nugget’s location.

However, Ravi’s hopes are dashed as the police inform him that the text could be a hoax, leaving Ravi feeling as though he is back at the beginning again.

It becomes clear that Ravi is close to giving up when Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) suggests holding a vigil for missing Nugget.

As all of Nugget’s friends gather in the Square gardens, Ravi is deflated, believing that their efforts are pointless.

However, Suki and Vinny insist that this could be the thing to bring him home.

Are they right, or has Ravi lost Nugget forever?
