Penny Lancaster spent her Christmas near Donald Trump
Rod Stewart’s wife Penny Lancaster will stay as a panellist on Loose Women despite rumours she has quit the ITV show.
The 52-year-old has featured regularly on the panel since 2014 and has appeared on the ITV show 47 times since last September.
Despite sources claiming Penny had quit, an insider has since confirmed to Express.co.uk that while Penny is no longer a regular panellist, she will still feature as a “guest” on the programme.
The former model has had a lot of work commitments and according to sources, she will look to return to Loose Women in the future.
A source told Express.co.uk that Penny “loves the show” and she has agreed to “look at her diary again on her return in October”.

The Sun originally reported the star could not continue as a permanent panellist due to “lengthy commitments” and “touring with Rod”.
A source said: “Penny enjoyed doing the show but it requires a lengthy commitment from regular panel members and this is something Penny cannot do.
“She’s touring with Rod and also has family commitments both in the UK and abroad.”
An ITV spokesperson said: “Penny is a much-loved part of the award-winning Loose Women family and it is always a pleasure to have her on the show. We look forward to her joining us again soon.”

Earlier this year, Carol McGiffin claimed she was “forced to step away” from her role on the panel because it was “stressing her out”.
The former panellist explained to Dan Wootton on GB News: “I can say that over the last three years especially I’ve been…I wouldn’t say censored, but I have been restricted in what I could say.
“You know what my views are on these controversial matters, so to speak because I’ve been talking to you about them for the last three years on another station, which I got kicked off of by the way for having those views.
“So everybody knows what my views are, and I think there’s absolutely no doubt there were people at ITV who didn’t like me having those views.”
More recently, Denise Welch hit back at “toxicity” claims made by agent Melanie Blake. The agent claimed Loose Women was more “cut-throat” than This Morning.
However, Denise was quick to shut down the claims as she penned on social media: “So disappointing that a female agent @MelanieBlakeUK constantly uses her position to tear down other women.
“It’s such a cliche that women can’t work together without being b****es.
“I adore my @loosewomen colleagues otherwise I wouldn’t work there.”
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
