Ryan Thomas and his Dancing On Ice pro skating partner, Amani Fancy, are already getting along well, as they were spotted getting cosy together during a daring outdoor training session.
The pair seem eager to get a head start on the show and, after a long day on the ice, 26 year old Amani gave Ryan a kiss on the cheek. In new photos snapped of the skating pair after a training session, Ryan, who is married to Lucy Mecklenburgh, can be seen holding two-time British national champion Amani up in the air in a car park in Manchester.
They practised their moves on the ice and didn't stop smiling before they said goodbye and Amani planted a kiss on his cheek.
The pro skater was really excited to be partnered with the former Coronation Street star when she found out who was in the line-up. Amani shared her happiness about being paired with Ryan on Instagram as she posted a photo of them skating together and wrote a long caption.
She said: "I've honestly been hoping for this pairing since the @dancingonice line up came out after watching an interview Ryan was on, to the point where I've nagged production to tell me if it was him countless times but had no luck until today!"
She added that "everything she thought of Ryan may be is true" – before going on to describe him as "genuinely empathetic, enthusiastic, cheeky, funny and ambitious man." She added: "all the things that make for a great skating partner", before saying he has "such a huge heart, especially for his beautiful family!"
She continued: "Ryan, the journey and the work begins now. It's going to be intense, frustrating, beautiful and rewarding all at the same time, but I promise to try and make this the best experience for you. I'm so proud to be your partner and cannot wait to see you thrive and become the skater I know you can be. Who knows, maybe we won't be able to tell who the professional is by the end of the competition".
She signed off by writing: "Everyone, get ready. Team Thomas bringing the suave with a touch of Fancy."
It was announced Ryan would be competing in the upcoming Dancing On Ice series last month, just as his brother Adam was a contestant in the current Strictly Come Dancing series, but was voted off after finding himself in the bottom two on last Sunday's show.
Adam found himself in a dance-off with Angela Rippon and her pro dance partner Kai Widdrington. Angela, 79, and Kai danced their Waltz to Fascination by Nat King Cole, while Adam and Luba performed their Rumba to Dancing On My Own by Callum Scott, hoping to win over the judges. However, the judges decided to send Adam and Luba home.
