Selling Sunset Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim have officially split from their five-month relationship, with the pair posting a series of statements published on both of their Instagram accounts confirming the news. The couple was Selling Sunset’s most unexpected couple when they confirmed the rumours of their relationship earlier this year.

Chrishell posted on her Instagram: “I have tried to embrace the world I have found myself in, and that includes being open and honest about my relationships.

“It felt scary and terrifying knowing that it may not end in what society deems a success and what I am ultimately looking for.

“But after many long heartfelt talks, I am choosing to see it as a success no matter what label is attached to it publicly.

“Jason was and is my best friend, and other than our ideas for family ultimately not being aligned, the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward.”

Co-star Amanza Smith commented on her post and said: “Love you so much,” followed by five love heart emojis.

Davina Potratz commented three love hearts on the post, and Brett Oppenheim adding: “Still my sis.”

Jason also released a statement on his Instagram page which read: “While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends, and we will always love and support one another.

“She was the most amazing girlfriend I’ve ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life.

“While we have different wants regarding family, we continue to have the utmost respect for one another.

“Chrishell is an exceptional human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.”

From both parties, it is implied that the couple ended their romance after differing views on wanting children in the future.

Jason and Chrishell went public with their relationship while on a romantic vacation with their co-stars in Italy this July.

Jason and Chrishell aren’t the only Selling Sunset couple to have split recently, with Brett Oppenheim and Tina Louise also splitting from their relationship.

The star had been dating the model from some months, but when asked if he was single again during an Instagram Live Q&A, he revealed the pair had recently called it quits.

As a viewer asked if he was single, he recalled: “Ok, this question has absolutely nothing to do with real estate, but I will answer it. As of very recently, actually, yes.”

The pair originally announced their relationship on Instagram back in April 2021, however, did not feature explicitly on the Netflix reality show that made Brett famous.

The beginnings of Chrishell and Jason’s romance will feature in the forthcoming fifth season of Selling Sunset.

The release date for season five of the hit Netflix show has not yet been confirmed however, Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerald revealed the season wrapped.

She shared a photo from The Oppenheim Group offices and wrote on her Instagram: “Lots of [bell emoji] today because we are officially wrapped with Season 5!”

Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix.
