One person who has faced his fair share of criticism but has remained a viewer favourite is Tony Adams. As he and his dance partner Katya Jones appeared on Wednesday’s Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show, It Takes Two, the duo addressed how Tony is slowly but surely making improvements. However, he did admit on the BBC show that Katya “shouted” at him during the live show on Saturday.
The pair performed a Salsa to I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) by Pitbull.
Following their performance, the two once again found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 21.
The judges jokingly addressed a few of Tony’s slip-ups, with Motsi Mabuse stating: “You tried so hard. Stuff goes wrong in life…”
While Anton Du Beke expressed: “If I could give you 15 I would, but you went a bit wrong. But good effort nonetheless!”

Meanwhile, Shirley Ballas called him “fearless” and said his technical skills had improved.
Joining host Janette Manrara on the chatshow, Tony and Katya admitted rehearsals had been a lot better than Saturday’s performance.
“There were a couple of little things that happened, right?” Janette remarked.
The former Strictly professional probed: “How different was the rehearsal from what happened on Saturday night?”
“Well, you know what it’s like, it is the nature of the show,” Katya replied.
“Rehearsals all week were brilliant and we really had it in the bag and for me, what’s more important is all week you [Tony] were like, ‘Kat, I’ve got this, I feel so confident you know,’ and he went and gave it absolutely everything.”
The Russian choreographer confessed: “And yeah, a few steps got lost, but I’d rather have that than have the fear of going wrong.
“We’re not looking for perfection here, we had an absolute ball.”
Tony chimed: “I just saw the audience and I was like… ‘Yay,'” as he began to dance in his seat.
As Janette laughed, Katya explained: “He always says that!”
“It’s like I’m clubbing on a Saturday night back in the day,” the former football star continued.
He added: “Then I’m like, ‘Calm down!’ She shouted at me, actually.”
Referring to Katya, he added: “I missed a couple of steps and she went, ‘Focus!’ It did work this time.”
“It really snapped you out of it,” Katya agreed. “I could see him go, I could see him go.”
“Week one I’d have been away, I wouldn’t have got it back together but I quickly got back on track,” the 56-year-old reflected.
“You did,” Katya stated proudly as Janette exclaimed: “See! You are becoming a dancer!”
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7pm on BBC One, while It Takes Two airs weekdays at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
