John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) ditches an evening with new beau PC George Kiss (Callum Kerr) in Hollyoaks in favour of one with James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan), but will this decision spell trouble?
John Paul briefly dated James upon his return to the village earlier this year, but once he discovered his boyfriend’s part in Mercedes’ (Jennifer Metcalfe) shooting, he ultimately put an end to their relationship.
In the weeks that followed, he found himself attracted to George, and after discovering that the policeman is gay, he decided to ask him out.
The two men have been enjoying something of a romance as a result — much to James’ dismay, as the solicitor is convinced the he and John Paul belong together.
John Paul arranged a date with George, but — in the coming episodes — he agrees to a drink with James, and therefore postpones said date.
When James gets wind of the fact that John Paul opted to spend time with him over going out with his new beau, he’s smug to say the least.
The question is: will romance ensue between James and John Paul?
Or is John Paul certain that George is the man for him?

Either way, will the policeman discover that John Paul decided to ditch him for James?
James has already provided their developing relationship with quite a few obstacles thus far, so will he be disappointed to learn that he’s done so once more?
