Steph's Packed Lunch star Steph McGovern has admitted that she snuck in her own alcohol to the Strictly Come Dancing Blackpool show.

The daytime TV presenter opened up about her experience on her lunchtime show and revealed that she brought her own stash for the star-studded event – with the help of pal John Whaite.

Steph and John went along to the BBC event and both wore sequinned ensembles and McGovern made sure to bring provisions in her handbag.

She then showed a clip from Rylan's Instagram story where he was laughing at her for bringing in a bag of chocolate, but she had another secret item ready to be consumed.

The presenter then revealed that she made John bring in a small container of rum down his pants, but Whaite was caught off guard when he realised that the venue had metal detectors.

Steph and John laughed together about the incident and the studio audience saw the funny side as they cheekily explained what happened on the night.

Despite John's close called, the pair had a good night watching the Strictly Come Dancing show and met up with some of their celebrity friends.

McGovern even shared a picture she took with Strictly judge Anton Du Beke and contestant Helen Skelton.

Earlier in the show, Steph and her panel were discussing the World Cup when she lost her temper.

It was recently announced that the England and Wales teams will not be wearing their OneLove armbands while they play, a symbol of support and equality especially towards the LGBTQ+ community.

McGovern called the decision "ridiculous" and the entire studio appeared disappointed with the news.

As she began to discuss the issue, the presenter's emotions got the better of her and she couldn't control her anger.

In frustration, Steph exclaimed loudly and used her hands to further express her feelings.

Whaite went on to express his thoughts on the matter before Steph showed a tweet from comedian Jon Richardson.

It read: "The threat of a yellow card doesn’t stop players diving, fouling or abusing referees but it has stopped them showing solidarity with those who are threatened with death for being in love. What an absolute f****** farce."
