Amanda Abbington shuts down feud rumours with Gio and says they ‘laugh a lot’
Strictly Come Dancing has officially confirmed that Amanda Abbington has decided to quit the series.
As she opened Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, host Fleur East told BBC viewers: “We’ve received the news that Amanda [Abbington] is not returning to Strictly.
“Here is the official statement from a Strictly spokesperson.”
Fleur then read: “‘Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition.
“‘The show wishes her all the best for the future'”.
She added: “Let’s remind ourselves of Amanda’s time on Strictly.”
A highlight video of Amanda’s time showed the actress receiving heaps of praise from the judges following her various routines, which she was scored highly for.
“Amanda, we are sending you all of our love,” Fleur concluded before moving on with the show.
