Strictly Come Dancing fans think they’ve figured out who will be axed this weekend

Eagle eyed Strictly Come Dancing fans are convinced they’ve already rumbled the next star to be eliminated from the competition, before the seventh nail-biting live show kicks off on Saturday evening.

So far, the popular BBC dancing competition has seen five celebrities and their professional dance partners eliminated from the show after failing the dreaded dance off, with a sixth contestant, Amanda Abbington also having dropped out of this year’s series on medical grounds.

But while there is still everything to dance for in this week’s live show, fans at home are adamant that they have worked out which star will be leaving the competition after he experienced a rocky few weeks on the show due to illness.

Last week, former Love Island star Zara Mcdermott was eliminated from the show alongside her partner Graziano Di Prima after being in the dance off against actor Adam Thomas and his partner Luba Mushtuk.

However, despite dodging elimination last week, fans believe Adam will be the next star to leave, with several taking to social media to share their predictions.

Writing on Reddit, one person said: "Rumba for Adam post a dance off? Yeah it’s not looking good," as a second wrote: "They want Adam to go next, don't they?”

So far, Adam’s journey on the show has been far from easy, with the star having suffered from a rheumatoid arthritis flare-up which left him in debilitating pain during rehearsals.

And if that wasn’t enough, Adam also found himself struck down with a vicious case of flu during the competition too, which lead him to miss out on some vital training sessions in the earlier stages of the competition.

Despite his health issues however, Adam has continued to perform week after week, with the judges praising his continued improvement and enthusiasm for every dance he has turned his hand to.

One unexpected hiccup in his journey however, came when Adam faced backlash last week for not applauding Zara and Graziano in last week’s dance off, something which former Strictly pro Brendan Cole later defended him for.

During the tense dance off, eagle-eyed viewers weren't happy when they saw Adam standing with his arms folded while his pro dance partner Luba Mustuk clapped the performance by their rivals.

Fans also thought that they spotted Zara turn her back on Adam as she was sent home from the popular dance competition, something which could have hinted at a feud, but, Brendan who was in 15 series of the programme later jumped to Adam’s defence.

Speaking to Sky Bingo, Brendan said: "I've very rarely seen people that don't support everybody and quite often in a situation like that, it’s about something else. It could have been just before his [Adam’s] number for example. He could have been right in the zone for his own routine and people shouldn’t underestimate how intense it can be before your number.

"You’ve worked so many hours on it and it’s such an important thing for you to stay in the competition. So quite often you are just in your own little zone, worrying about what you're about to do or even after you’ve danced worrying about something that you did wrong."

The 47-year-old added: "I don't think people should ever read into what they see backstage. Some people get on brilliantly, some people won't. But ultimately most people are just caring about themselves during showtime because it is such an epic, epic thing to try to succeed in."
