Strictly: Judges and professionals perform in series opener
Strictly Come Dancing’s first live show tonight is set to kick off with a spectacular opening number from the professional dancers.
They will perform to the song Everybody Wants To Rule The World which was originally a hit for Tears for Fears in 1985.
Photos obtained by Express.co.uk show that the performance was shot at both an outdoor location and in the studio and features some stunning scenery as the 19 professional dancers strut their stuff.
Although tonight’s show, which sees all the couples take to the floor for the first time, is live it is usual to prerecord the opening dance due to the complexities of the number.
While there are only 15 couples competing, there are 19 professional dancers as they need reserves in case of injury or illness.

The professionals who didn’t get a celebrity partner this year include Nadiya Bychkova and Neil Jones, although they will appear in all the group dances.
Following last week’s launch show, Nadiya opened up about her disappointment at not getting a partner.
After last Saturday night’s glitzy launch show, the Ukrainian beauty who is dating fellow Strictly pro Kai Widdington, opened up to her 23.1 thousand Twitter followers.
“I’m sure you’ll understand that I’m disappointed not to be partnered with a celebrity on Strictly this series,” she wrote.
“It is an amazing show to be a part of and I’m still so excited for all the group numbers, performing with some of our music acts and much much more.” (sic)
