Strictly Sara Davies’ mum will vote for Dan Walker as a BBC Breakfast superfan

Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies has admitted her mum will be supporting another Strictly Come Dancing contestant on the show.

The 37-year-old businesswoman revealed her loving mother will also be voting for TV presenter Dan Walker because she is a BBC Breakfast superfan.

The blonde bombshell took to her Instagram on Friday to reveal the surprising news as she watched back her Strictly interview on BBC Breakfast show.

But the mum-of-two has revealed she will still be getting votes from her supportive family as she prepares to take to the dancefloor for the first live show of the series on Saturday.

She penned: “Chatting on BBC Breakfast this morning about how my mam wants to vote for Dan Walker in the show…

“In fairness she’s said it’s an ‘as well as’ not an ‘instead of’ me vote! (She loves Dan!).”

In the interview, Sara stood beside her professional dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec who couldn’t help but laugh away at her cheeky anecdote.

Sara confessed how her mum asked: “Is it alright if I vote for Dan as well, pet? I was like, ‘mother, come on!’”

Sara is set to take on the Cha Cha Cha as her opening number for the first live show in which she will be portraying the character of a Boss in keeping with her successful business career both on and off screen.

And as fans of the hit BBC One dance competition prepare for the opening show, the blonde belle has arrived at set for the last run through of their breakthrough routine in the famous Strictly ballroom.

This comes after Gordon Ramsay was said to be “really upset” after he found out that his Strictly star daughter has found a new dance partner.

The CBBC star has swapped out her father, who is her usual TikTok dance partner, for the first-time professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin.

The news of the couple’s pairing were showcased on Strictly’s launch show last weekend, during which she shared the announcement with the angry chef on a FaceTime call.

Tilly also shared that Gordon didn’t seem too pleased with the announcement while behind-the-scenes.

On the opening show, the TV presenter said how it would be great for her Hell’s Kitchen father to take part on the show next year.

She said: “I think it’d be great to see him dance [on the show].

“He’s actually really upset that I've got a new dance partner,” she confessed.
