Strictly star raking it in with show fee — while co star bags not as much

Several Strictly Come Dancing stars are said to be raking it in thanks to their show fees – but apparently one celebrity “hasn’t bagged as much.”

The glitzy BBC One show returned to TV screens on Saturday night (September 23) for its first live show of the 21st series. Celebs like Bobby Brazier, Angela Scanlon and Les Dennis all made their live dancing debut.

And for the next few months, these stars will be put through their paces thanks to gruelling rehearsals and the entire nation watching their every single move. But it seems like it’s worth it.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Dom Aldworth, Head of Brand Marketing at Slingo revealed the details on the Strictly star’s reported eye-watering fees – but it seems one celeb “hasn’t bagged as much."

“Les Dennis is reported to be this season’s highest-paid celebrity, with estimates he has been paid between £75,000 and £100,000 to join the show,” the expert said.

However, whilst celebrities can bag eye-watering sums of money by competing in the show, the exposure to millions of viewers across the country can also be a significant way to earn extra cash.”

Dom then claimed how Love Island beauty Zara McDermott “could be one of this series’ highest earners.” HE quipped: “Her large social media following will be attractive to brands, with the star estimated to currently be charging up to £9.5k for a single sponsored post."

He added: “This total will likely increase the further Zara gets in the competition and if she is well-received by the British public."

As for EastEnders star and man-of-the-moment Bobby Brazier he “could also earn big money whilst on Strictly Come Dancing.” The brand expert explained: “With over 180k Instagram followers, modelling jobs and a role in Eastenders, Bobby will be able to build on his already successful career.”

However, when compared to Les’ hefty show fee, Bobby’s might not be as much.

Dom said: “Whilst Bobby may not have bagged as much as Les Dennis when joining the show, he is set to be popular with the British public and could be catapulted to new levels of fame through Strictly.”

He added: “Brand deals, new job opportunities and sponsorships look likely for the Eastenders star which will see him rake in significant amounts of money.”
