Strictly viewers slammed Shirley Ballas for her "bad cop" critique of actor Nigel Harman's performance on Saturday night.
The actor, 50, danced a Viennese Waltz to Until I Found You by Stephen Sanchez for week two of the competition with partner Katya Jones and received a score of 27/40 for the performance.
After his high-scoring Paso Doble last week which saw him labelled as one to watch, Shirley didn't hold back with her critique of this week's dance after starting positive, saying: "Graceful arms and a lovely connection together."
She then added: "Too many technical errors,” and listed off mistakes he made, saying he could do better by focusing on "simple footwork faults."
But Anton said: “It was lovely, your intimacy was lovely and your storytelling was immaculate."
However, he urged Nigel to take Shirley’s comments on board as he would be a better dancer for it.
In a surprising change of pace, Craig even blasted Shirley for being “too picky” in week two as he defended Nigel’s performance in only the second week of the competition.
He said: "Picky, picky, picky. All those technical issues which I know you will be able to fix next week quite easily because you have the ability, my darling.
"You are a fantastic dancer. You have the ability to draw people into the dance. I say well done!"
Motsi even agreed with Craig and said: "I ask myself, I have to agree with Craig, what happened over there?"
Some social media users agreed that her judging was too picky, taking to Twitter to express their opinions on it.
One person wrote: "Does @ShirleyBallas dislike Nigel Harman? The feedback she’s given others have been with smiles, mostly . With him, very different."
Another said: "Clearly Shirley is playing bad cop tonight #strictlycomedancing," while a third wrote: "Shirley you can’t critique Nigel Harman the way you did then tell Les Dennis he’s great!"
Meanwhile, another viewer praised him, writing: "Nigel Harman did brilliant dancing the V.Waltz. So proud of him.
"Some of the comments were rough, but I don’t think the scores were bad at all! Bless him, he was so nervous, Am just going to sit patiently waiting for voting to open! This number shall be saved in my phone!"
Other Strictly fans revealed that they were crushing on Nigel, with one saying: "Teenage me was v much obsessed with Nigel Harman 20 years later I'm watching Strictly for the first time ever just because he's on it lmao."
