Strictly Come Dancing star Aljaz Skorjanec appeared to get emotional and told Lorraine "I want to cry" when he appeared on the ITV daytime show with his wife Janette Manrara.
Janette, 39, welcomed her first child – a baby girl called Lyra Rose Skorjanec with her husband, Aljaž, 33, on 28 July, 2023.
In their first TV interview since becoming parents, the duo gushed over their baby girl as they gave viewers a glimpse into their new life as proud parents.
Lorraine brought up how the couple might feel when their daughter is grown up and brings home her "first boyfriend", before she said: "Can you image the first dance when she's married, with her daddy, oh my goodness".
After a short pause to envision what Lorraine had said, Aljaz blurted out: "I wanna cry now".
The couple also reflected on Lyra’s birth, which was an elective C-section in July, as Janette said: “Everything went super perfect on the day, it was magical. The day couldn’t have gone better. We danced, we sang, it was a big celebration."
On becoming a dad, Aljaz gushed: “I love her, every single day more. I fell in love with Janette, it was love at first sight, but that’s a different level. I tell Janette every single day I couldn’t love my baby any more.”
The host of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, Janette, has been keeping her followers updated on her motherhood journey so far, and most recently showed off her incredible figure at the Pride Of Britain awards on Monday 9 October.
The proud mum looked like Barbie herself in a stunning ball gown dress in all different shades of pink.
Janette shared a sweet snap with Aljaž, who cut a smart figure in a black tux, along with the caption: "Red carpet gang! So wonderful to get dressed up and celebrate the true #PrideOfBritain last night. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you @prideofbritain for having us! Our favourite event of the year!"
Fans rushed to send their compliments to the parents as one penned: "You both look amazing", while another said: "Such a lovely couple".
A third added: "How have you just had a baby!! Beautiful x", while another fan added: "Wow wow looking Amazing".
