After stepping back from his role as Aram Motjambai on NBC’s The Blacklist, actor Amir Arison landed a new role and made his Broadway debut on The Kite Runner. Amir was supported by fans as he took to Instagram with a candid peek at his new role.

Amir shot to fame after being introduced to The Blacklist viewers as FBI tech expert, Aram Mojtabai back in 2013.

The character quickly became a fan-favourite for being a dependable member of the team who was funny and intelligent.

Aram was a vital member of the team as the FBI detectives relied on his immense technical knowledge and skills to crack down on cases.

He broke thousands of hearts when he announced his departure in the season nine finale.

The tech expert revealed he was taking some time away as he and his colleagues visited Liz Keen’s (Megan Boone) grave.

He wanted to stay on the team to help resolve her murder investigation.

In the teary scene, Aram said he had no plan but was going to move to Brooklyn as he took some time out.

As fans await the show’s return with season 10, many have come to accept Amir would not be reprising his character.

Instead, he said he couldn’t turn down the opportunity to star in The Kite Runner, describing it as a “childhood dream.”
