The One Show’s Alex Jones left red-faced after being called out for 'snubbing' Peter Crouch live on TV | The Sun

THE One Show's Alex Jones was left red-faced after being called out for 'snubbing' Peter Crouch on live TV.

The BBC presenter was flustered after an awkward moment with the iconic footballer.

Alex Jones had her head in her hands as Jermaine Jenas struggled for words during a sit down with Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch, singer Bryan Adams and comedian Munya Chawawa.

During the episode, Peter and Abbey shared their relationship advice from their popular podcast while best-selling music artist Bryan discussed his upcoming performance.

Comedian Munya spoke about his recent debut stand-up tour, and after he finished, it was time for the audience's comments.

Jermaine, who had already been shooting several comments at artist Bryan, said: "We've got another one here for you, Bryan."

Reading another comment out for the 63-year-old, he began: "I absolutely love Bryan.

"Me and my late husband's song was Summer of 69. We never got to see you in concert but always had your albums on repeat."

Alex then cheekily replied: "Are we all coming to your concert? Are we all invited? And Munya's tour, a couple of nights out."

Bryan and Munya extended an invitation, while Peter noticed he had not received any comments yet, so he jokingly interrupted and asked: "Any nice ones for me there, JJ or not, no?"

The sofa erupted into awkward laughter, and Jermaine stuttered: "Ermm…"

Alex, who was Lost for words, quickly picked up the iPad and pretended to scroll as she said: "We were just refreshing."

The mum-of-three then put her head in her hands as the legendary former footballer awkwardly teased viewers at home: "Keep them coming in, guys."

The One Show ended while Alex, Jermaine, and the rest of the sofa were still giggling, as the presenter concluded with: "You've been lovely company, thank you so much."

The One Show continues weekdays at 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
