The Voice judge Nick Jonas says he 'flipped over his bike' in 'ugly and painful' accident that left star's rib fractured

THE Voice judge Nick Jonas said he "flipped over his bike" in an "ugly and painful'' accident that left the star's rib fractured.

Nick, 28, went into detail about how the incident went down while speaking to Extra.

The Jumanji actor revealed the bike accident occurred while he was working with his siblings, Kevin, 33, and Joe, 31, on an upcoming NBC show "for the Olympics called ‘Olympic Dreams.'"

Nick said: "Me and the brothers are competing against each other in Olympic sports, and one of the events required me riding a bicycle.

"Basically, I lost control of the bike and flipped off of it, kind of ugly."

The Scream Queens actor mentioned he needed to rest up when he is "not on ‘The Voice’ sitting in my chair."

Nick continued: “Better day today, just one of those injuries you can’t really do anything about, just have to wait it out and deal with some of the pain.

"I feel good. I feel like it could have been a lot worse, so coming away with just this is all good.”

On May 17th, Nick revealed on The Voice that he had "cracked a rib" after making a bad "spill" on his bike.

At the start of Monday's episode, host Carson Daly, 47, was concerned for Nick's well-being and asked him: “How are you feeling buddy?”

The movie star replied: “I’m doing okay, I’m alright but I’ve been better.

"I’ve got a cracked rib from a spill on a bike and a few more bumps and bruises.

"Just want to say that in case I’m not as physically enthusiastic as I usually am."

The TV star turned to fellow judge Blake Shelton, 44, and jokingly begged: "Please don’t make me laugh, it will hurt.”

The latest panel of judges includes Nick, Blake, Kelly Clarkson, 39, and John Legend, 42.

After Nick made the scary announcement about his injury, viewers took to Twitter to wish him a "speedy recovery."

A fan tagged the movie star and tweeted that "all will be fine."

On May 15th, Nick suffered from a fracture of his rib, according to TMZ.

Sources said the accident on late Saturday night was serious enough for the Only Human musician to leave the set by an ambulance.

By Sunday, the hospital allowed the Camp Rock singer to return home.

The Voice judge will be hosting the Billboard Music Awards on NBC this Sunday, May 23rd, at 8pm ET/5pm PT.

Nick has been married to actress Priyanka Chopra, 38, since 2018.
